The Sex are a four piece TRASH ROCK N' ROLL band from Tempe, AZ.
They are Kate "Sex-Mex", Spaz "Sex Leperchaun", Bobby Calabrese, and Def Jeff. They're the bastard children of The Dead Boys, Joan Jett, Johnny Thunders, Iggy Pop, Hanoi Rocks, and Motorhead. Once you hear the opening riffs of their anthem "The Sex" you are addicted like your first sip of Whiskey, first bump of Coke, or first taste of Pussy or Cock!!!!!!!! The Sex are a kick ass addition to the already prolific and filthy Trash Rock scene that has seen a gorgeous mess of great Legendary Phoenix bands like Beat Angels, Jeff Dahl Band, Slash City Daggers, Glass Heroes, Les Hell On Heels, Love Me Nots, White Demons, New Romantics, The Earps, Kill Baby Kill, The Reflection, and The Unfortunates, and a newer breed of local rockers such as 9th Street Shakedown, Dead Eyes of London, The Labor Party, Antique Scream, Strange Young Things, The Cosmeticators, The Leather Boys, and Vagina Dentata. It also is supported by DJ nights like Beatnik Scottie's Garage Au Go Go & my FAST TIMES! night @ Yucca Tap Room.
